Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, featuring the Ciompi Quartet, Ralph Vaughn Williams (1872 – 1958)

This lush piece combines three ensembles: string orchestra, a smaller ensemble of nine (string nonet), and a string quartet. Learn more about the voices in the composition and about the Ciompi Quartet.
